debug mode

Anyone here ever managed to turn on the debug mode in FL?
I have been working on a mod and whenever I turn it on now, the game launches in debug mode. It says this when you launch into space. The thing is I dont know yet what in the mod is turning it on.

huh, never seen that before. Kind of interesting though. . . I bet with the debug mode on, many of the debug options in the keymap.ini file would work, which would be very cool.

Try doing things like ALT i or SHIFT i There are a bunch of other debug options in the keymap.ini file - try them out. =)

I have, no look so far though, I am going to try changing keymap.ini a bit

You may also have to add the values into the keylist.ini file

well this is how you enable the debug mode or at least how i did

in freelancer.ini in the exe folder stick a ';' in front of

DLL = MiscTextInfo2.dll ;Contains MP UI elements as well as other misc. text

then load it up you will see lots of the misc text missing and when u lauch into space you will see clearly debug mode in front of your name.
maybe this will work for all of the std dlls, I didnt check.
the commands like warp and teleport that are in keymap.ini dont seem to work tho'. Maybe someone out there will get it going.

Whoa...

You mean you can comment out all of the DLLs, and it'll still work???

Hey, that might be useful...

well yeah, i commented out one and it worked. it seems to default into a debug mode, there could be some scope for some fancy moddin' tricks here
not sure if we got rid of them all though what would happen
