Specific type of mod

Hey all. I'm currently trying to put together a machinema short film using freelancer. Since it's just myself and my room mate, I have to be somewhat creative with how I get my scenes shot. To that end, I need a mod which allows me to fly a Sabre (with a specific loadout) through the single player missions as well as show the ship I'm flying during the cutscenes. I tried Titan mod but during the first cutscenes, it shows an extra engine when I use afterburners. Any suggestions?

Can you give what loadouts you would like, so far what you have asked for would take about 5mins to mod. I can`t modify the hardpoints of the model, other than to use lights as weapon mounts.
Failing that you could try the tutorials section. There`s a whole forum just for newbies who haven`t done much modding a and want to give it a go.
To change the inital ship, download SDK (its all the encrypted freelancer txt files un-encrypted), then go into you get go into data/missions/M01a/m01a.ini

In it there`s a line saying :
Act_SetShipAndLoadout = ge_fighter, msn_playerloadout
ge_fighter is the starflier, you want it to be = bw_elite2, msn_playerloadout
for the loadout go into data/ships/loadouts.ini
(i`m hoping that you have done a bit of modding already and that you know the names of the weapons, like = gd_gm_gun01_mark04, which is the gmg skyblast B the best rapid weapon in the original game). Otherwise, if you just post what you would like and i`ll put the loadout up for you on my reply.

Get Freelancer character editor by JoeBoomz. YOu can then just change ship and loadout of any SP savegame (except the autosaves), regardless of what should be mounted on that ship (i.e. lvl10 weps on starflier, no problem. ^^)

The loadout I want is all 6 guun hardpoints loaded with skyblast b's, the turret as a skyblast b, adv. brigandine shields (I think. I'm wanting the only standard level 10 shield in the game), hornet CD, Driller Mine, adv counter-measure dropper. All of it on a Sabre.

The thing of it is, I want to see the Sabre with it's loadout in the cutscenes as I intend to use some shots from the cutscenes for my short. The mod I tried (Titan Mod) alows me to use the sabre and loudout I want but I can't see it in the cutscenes (at least not the first couple). So there in is my dilema.

No, I haven't done any modding but I've looked through the forums here a bit and found lists of the names of ships, weapons, etc. If it would only take like 5 min, I'll read up on how to do it and do it myself but to save time (I'm in college so have classes and homework to deal with) I was hoping someone had already done what I need. I`ve popped on the advanced thruster, I think the only part that could make the ship not appear in the cutscenes, is in the mission ini`s.
Well, that should be good enough for the start ship. That should get you started.
