Rookie problems

I'm a rookie in modding freelancer and i'm in serious trouble. I can't even open up the .ini files in my freelancer directory. All I see when i've opened them is a bunch of squares. Please help.

you gotta use bini to open them up, or you can download Freelancer SDK, that automatically does what bini does to all the ini files.
but i would use the SDK, its way easier.

There is also a new program available that allows you to edit those compressed in i files without decoding it or using SDK...
