Storylines

The team storyline editor says there have to be 13 missions exactly in a storyline. Is there a way to change this? Perhaps with freelancer.ini ?

To do that, you would need a script, story line, and a way to fit it in with the existing story. Voices for the story parts that are added. A lot of work, and I will take my hat off to any who manage to do this.

That's not answering my question. But we have a full voice cast right now, a storyline editor, we're looking for a .thn cutscene modder.

My question was: does it HAVE to be 13 missions? Is it hardcoded or something into FL?

There's no reason to try to cut it from 13 down to another #. You can cause the missions to flow together. If your story line editor works at it a bit you can make missions seem like they never happened by just going from one state to another.

go from:
InitState = ACTIVE
to:
Act_ChangeState = SUCCEED

There's more to it than that but your editor should be able to figure it out.

That does work, problem that the level requirements will be innacurate. You'll have a required net worth to get to the next level - which is skipped - so you'll then have a new requirement to reach. Not a major problem though

Well just a note: we desperately need .thn modders

Anyway: the TRM Beta will be released twice at the end of October. First as MP, second as an SP.
