Moving Hiding fields

I just thought of something awesome if it would work. Only im not this experienced a modder to try it. It like someother guy posted. a stealth thingy. Is there a possibility to make a gun that generates a sensor effieciency reduced field. So some guy spots you on his scanner 3 k away. he come to come get you. You see him sprocahing press Shift +0 for example and bam he has to get within 1 k of you to see you. Not quite a cloak but would be quite the awesome supplement. Maybe Server-Side?

<ESPECIALLY READ>This is not to attract any trouble at all. I can alredy make cloak so this is not in any shape or form a request for it. Thought I'd get that through to all peeps who would want to come in here and say OMG No posting about cloaks. Chips and Stinger I believe Firmly pointed that out to me on post 5 i believe . <END ESPECIALLY READ>

Ahh... sweet simplicity point, click, own.

"Yeah dude, I know that planet has the ship you want. But the docking ring is kind of inside the planet, as is the end of the trade lane we just took." - Me
"Smooth one Mike. Yeah man, and the trade lane aint even straight" - Justin (on a mod my friend Mike made, or attempted to)

"Chips laughs at my incompetance" - One of my first posts lol.

Almost like a sensor jammer or something... Sounds like a really cool idea, one which might even work in SP. I have no idea how you'd do it, but one of the bigger names around here might be able to help

That would be an interesting idea. Even on MP servers. A sneak attack, but completly visible if you're paying attention.

Also extreamly effective avoiding pirates in dustclouds.

I can't speak for sure, but I don't believe there is any way to make a gun cause sensor effeiciency reduction. Besides if there was I'll bet you your computer would announce "sensor efficiency reduced" which would alert them something was up.

Yeah, but radar jammers work the same way today. And you'd still have to find the guy with the jammer which could be quite hard
