How to edit starspheres?

I've tried opening the .cmp files from SOLAR/STARSPHERES in milkshape with the cmp importer, but they won't work.
So how can I edit the starspheres?

don`t know, but at least you can change textures .. use utf editor ..

The starsphere files are stored as .cmp files. Would utf work on them?

Use the utf editor to export the MIP sections and then import your changes.
