Uniforms/space characters AND voices

Can someone give me a detailed yet easy-to-understand guide on how to create a new uniform for a faction, and how to change their appearance in space when hailed?

ALSO: how do you add the voice files that characters in bars use to speak, and also the files space characters use to speak.

I was about to say there's a Star Wars mod called the Free Worlds and they changed a few costumes of the NPC,
Then I see that you're from the Republic Mod. Oh well !

in the file \data\missions\mbases.ini
find a person, and you'll see the line:
voice = rvp126
then go to \data\audio
you'll see that voice file. Use the utility UTF to open files, and import in new audio .wav files.

in the file \data\missions\faction_prop.ini
you'll see the space costume such as helmets
- download the Freelancer Head Accessory Collection to see pictures of helmets, sunglasses, hats, etc...
you also see the pilot voice files in that faction_prop.ini.

Glad you worked out The Republic Mod's a SW one.
Well, those certainly help a lot. This gives me something to play about with while I wait for bits of work to be created.

Sorry to double-post, but you may have read the previous message already, and might miss this one:
How does the icon tutorial help me, and does the uniform question also fall under making new helmets?
Also: how can I add voice files for new factions, their ships, and bases? How do I know how to set them?
