Adding Higher Difficulty Missions?

Hello once again, I'm back and with another question. Thanks for all the help in the past and possible help on this one.

I would like to make higher difficulty missions for the bar rooms in core planet/systems (Manhatten, New London, etc). I'm doing this because after awhile, 600k missions don't cut it anymore. I know I could just modify the diff2money.ini, or something like that, to make the difficulty 100 missions worth much more, but I like to earn my things.

How would this be possible? I'd like to have pilots of rank 35 or so flying around, and so far the highest I've seen is 23 in the Hellhound (running 1.28 Evolutions Server, closed LAN only). Does the rank of the ship have to do with the loadouts.ini? And also, how would I make it so that these "harder" random missions are given out by the bar room folks?

Thanks for your time, and I know my typing is cryptic at best, so ask if you want clarification.

*EDIT: What I mean is, how can I add more ships to a random kill ships mission? How can I make Missions over difficulty of 43?

Modify the weapons and shield NPC carrys, upgrade their AI and give them ultra armor. It's not that hard to do, just be careful not to make them too hard.
I have seem mission impossible myself and I don't wanna play it again.

In order for you to access higher level of difficulties in general...

you need to have an npc that is capable of having that level usually in pilotspopulation.ini file that is for that system and also the system's ini file must have that same level entry in the npc pop section, ie. Li01_someNPC_pop that has mission enabled and the vignette sections too.

Now for the bases you need to edit the npc's that gives mission and select the appropriate DestroyMission Parameter to the designated level... for the level refer to diff2money.ini in the random mission folder....

Could anyone elaborate on what he said? I'll post what I've done so far.

I've added a new Kusari Dragon ship into the npcships.ini file:

[NPCShipArch
nickname = ku_n_ku_elite_d25
loadout = ku_n_ku_elite_loadout01
level = d25
ship_archetype = ku_elite
pilot = pilot_pirate_ace
state_graph = FIGHTER
npc_class = lawful, class_fighter, d25

To my knowledge that is how it should look.
I also changed the entry for New Tokyo in the mbases so that it can give out level 25 missions:

[MBase
nickname = Ku01_01_Base
local_faction = ku_p_grp
diff = 25 <-- Should I have changed this from 7?
msg_id_prefix = gcs_refer_base_Ku01_01_Base

[MVendor
num_offers = 8, 12

[BaseFaction
faction = ku_p_grp
weight = 50
offers_missions = true
mission_type = DestroyMission, 90, 100 <- changed Min and max. was originally 0, 53, 100. why three numbers?
npc = ku0101_kpolice_001_m
npc = ku0101_kpolice_002_f
npc = ku0101_kpolice_003_m

Was there something that I missed? Please tell me, or elaborate on what Sun said. Thanks again

mission_type = DestroyMission, 90, 100 <- changed Min and max. was originally 0, 53, 100. why three number

the first 2 numbers say min/max (refer to diff2money), 3rd is the faction`s weight on job board .. all factions which offer missions at that base have to have <=100 weight in total

Riely,
I believe the difficulty level or toughness is a combination of pilot thoughness, ship and ship layout. Now I am not familiar which ship used but if am not mistaken this ship is dragon HF fighter and this layout01 won't create a real level 25 opponent, likely around 8 or something. It will say it is level 25 but it is not.
Search for the toughest fighter for the faction or choose another ship (VHF) and adjust the weapon layout , shields etc. In other words balance the combination untill it is line with level 19 ships + 6 levels.

Thanks for all the help so far guys, I think I have it now, but do you know how the npcranktodiff.ini works? I've looked at it and I'm lost... Almost makes me ashamed to call myself a programmer.

Thanks again.

Nevermind, I guess I didn't get it to work, still no missions over level 43 and the custom loadout I made for the pirates doesnt show up either... any help would be greatly appreciated.
