Standard FL formulas for weapon stats?

Does anyone know of a good source listing the standard FL weapon formulas?
I am working on a reworking of the entire weapons system and was just wondering if anyone knows of a good resource for this information.
IE energy cost versus weapon damamge versus range versus weapon class etc.

Any help would be Greatly appreciated :-)

use the search function for "weapon editing" search general editing forum.

Weapon range off the top of my head is through muzzle velocity and the lifetime of the munition.

lifetime x muzzle velocity = range

4 x 250 = 4 seconds travelling at 250ms-1 = 1000m

power shield/hull

hull_damage = whatever you want (measured per refire rate) (500 hull damage would do 500 damage per shot, with a refire rate of 0.5 (every half second) you would do 1000 hull damage per second)

energy_damage = this means shield damage and = any value + half of the hull damage. so if you want a weapon that does no shield damage and 500 hull damage:

hull_damage = 500
energy_damage = -250

hope this helps abit.

The cost of a weapon is determined by its class, ie all class 8 weapons cost the same, all class 4 weapons cost the same etc. The exceptions to this rule are the civilian weapons (Starbeam, Flashpoint etc)

The class of a weapon is common sense, mostly. The Justice Mk I outputs about 130 damage a second, so it's class 1, the lowest. However, something like the Wyrm 2 outputs a comparatively massive 1950 damage a second, so it's class 9. Don't worry about the classes too much, they're only indicative, they don't actually affect the weapon's stats

Hey guys thanks very much for the help.
I have searched throught the forums extensively and had some idea of what the weapon stats should be but just wanted to ask around as I'm trying to do this in a very balanced and careful fashion.

Thanks again for the info and the quick responses.
