is it possible to edit Planets skins the way you see them from space?
I have Freelancer Explorer but I don't see an option to reskin a planet after right clicking on it. It only says "info" and "delete". Information appears in a text column on the right but it is sort of greyed out and not changeable directly. Nor is there an option in the tools menu. Have I missed something? I made several systems by hand and there are a couple of planets I would "reskin" but the only way I know to do that is go back into the system ini file and change it that way. How do I activate this option in Freelancer Explorer?

I think from what you said that you have just double-clicked on a system that has the planet you want to reskin. You just double-slicked the sytem and zoomed in to see the stuff in there, right?
Ok, I think this might be your problem: instead of double clicking on the system, right-click it and select "Edit"
NOW you should have many many options, from adding tradelanes, zones, pl;anets, objects, moving things, chaging color of stars and light sources, and changing the skin of your planet Right click on the planet once you are in this Edit-view of the system, thn you should be good to go.

I think it's Edit Properties. There is a download somewhere that gives a preview of all planet skins, which will help when selecting one off of FLE.
