Download FLMM and install. Then download the mods you want and click on them. Most are self installing. After one is installed, Freelancer Mod Manager will open and you can activate the mod.

that is one of the most anoying questions. next time use the search function.
to install your mods you need to use a program call Freelancer Mod Manager.
it is used to activate and disable your mods. when it launches it will automatically upload all mods. if you wish to make a mod put the main mod folder in the FLMM\mods directory.

I think the mod manager should like have its own download link on the frontpage. It is the most important modding tool to everyone I think (atleast for testing so you don't have to go and copy and paste things).

lol, very true. When I first wanted to try out a mod, I thought that microsoft actually made a program to mod everything. I didn't even know what an INI file was. Now I look at myself and I can do almost anything with an INI (almost). Yep, I remember all the SARCASIM or however u spell it when I asked that question. Not to mention several other of my first questions...

I was like this when I joined only a few months ago... I'm not exactly a wizard when it comes to modding, but soon LPI, you'll be answering questions just like these with the Lt Commander rank

Why lock this thread? What would be the reason for that?

There is a Forum called The Lancers Reactor > Forums > Freelancer Editing: Freelancer Using MODs Help Forum with a sticky to help people with Mods called Mods crash ??? The Mod Manager and Using Mods help Topic

because he had his question answered bp and now the conversation has turned to the subject of the dreaded "ranks" which is partly my fault and for that i must apologise
