Freelancer 2 probably would require a new engine, and no-one has got that far yet.

I don't think that they will make a new game engine. But maby in the future, there will be games like freelancer that you can land and fight on the ground like in UT 2004. To fight in space stations, select crew men, another pilot, lead a trading company and all. We can do it today. Like Asalom 51 or something like that you can buy and FLY space stations.

Wrong forum. You are discussing Freelancer. Where should discussions of Freelancer be? You may be including mods in your discussion but it still has nothing to do with editing Freelancer.
