Can't be done without the source code I'm afraid. The AI fire at you with their turrets by changing their view using the 'F' key.

i'm afraid enemies dont have a keyboard. they have to be able to do it somehow.

Is there any AI expert that tried to find the part of the code that makes the turret of the AIs?

It should be possible to use that...

I've heard that auto-firing was enabled in the beta; I still can't fathom why they took it out.

Well, actually I can, but it doesn't really make me any more satisfied.

They have a vitual keyboard dumbass!!! You can do the smae with the 'F' key

While I can't speak for anyone one else in here I don't consider myself a dumbass and I still don't get what it is you're saying BlazeMe. When I press my f key my shield bats regenerate my shields. You are using an uppercase f. Does that mean you're saying by pressing shift-f my turrets will fire on their own?
Also I don't think the AI has a "virtual keyboard". If you look at a gun block in the pilot's pop I think you'll agree that it's straight math whether or not a npc fires, when a npc fires, and what weaps an npc fires. Percentages and timing determine their firing behavior.

Pressing F or even Shift+F will not start your turrets auto-firing. The only way to do this would be to edit the AI algorithms with are hardcoded inside Freelancer.exe. This requires disassembling FL and rewriting the code, which is VERY complicated.

Put simply, not possible

yea, if you edited the exe, then you would be breaking the law. so think of a workaround, like a patch file or something.
