Getting large trains to dock with you own bases

Hi i'm back again and i'll proberly get in trouble for this but i'm asking anyway.

You'll remember me from my earlier postings about trouble i've been having with non apearance of npc's in my own bases, well i've since got that problem well and truely solved thanx to kaegogie and chips and one or two others who helped me.

Anyways my new question is this how can i make computer controlled cargo vessels dock with my bases, i have no trouble getting police patrol vessels and other smaller vessels to dock, but the big transports won't dock and it dosn't matter if it's space stations or planetary bases any idea how to solve this little problem?

Yes i do enable the moors on the planets, but space stations don't have that option do they?

I'm not positive but I think that the transports are programmed to only dock in moors, not at bases.

I have discovered that the large trains do in fact dock with your own space stations eventually.

add a large_moor to your base you see the format for it in solararch.ini

so open up solararch.ini and find your base. then replace one of the docking mounts(A/B/C/D etc..) with a jump or large_moor depending on what effect you want. the large moor all cap ship to dock quickly, and i have extended the distance from the base that you need to be to activate it so that capships dont get stuck. the jump will allow all ships to dock as described above.

docking_sphere=jump, HpDockMountA, 600 ;add this line to allow all ships to dock quickly when within 300m of the base.

docking_sphere=moor_large, HpDockMountA, 600 ;add this line to allow all ships that dock with large moors to dock quickly when within 300m of the base.

other examples

docking_sphere=moor_medium, HpDockMountA, 600 ;add this line to allow all ships that dock with medium moors to dock quickly when within 300m of the base.

docking_sphere=berth, HpDockMountA, 300 ;add this line to allow all ships that dock with berths (this is fighters) to dock quickly when within 150m of the base.

the problem you are having probably come from the docking range, if the moor for the big ships is set so that you only dock when 4m away (default setting i think) then the large ship (because of poor handling, and huge size) will need to spend a long time manouvering to get close to the base, by increasing/playying with the docking sphere range you can create the effect that you want.

Yeh they do dock, with my stations but when they leave again they don't seem to have on any cargo and vice versa if they dock while they are loaded they don't seem to unload anything either. Just on a different mode does anyone know how to get the npc to give you locations to bases you haven't yet visited?
