Mod Request!

Can some one make a Jump Ship capable of jumping to other systems.

Can someone tell me how to make the speed mod? as in, which file do i edit to make the ships cruise speed to go 9000.

Can someone update the jump gates so that the look like a stargate

and my last mod request is that someone makes different coloured wormholes? like red and green and gold and yellow and possible a stary wormhole.

Thanx, any info would be great, btw, i usually cant seem to see my other posts because they usually dissapear lol, sp please answer to this asap.

2) Yes, but look your self, its been covered alot, and i cannot be bothered to put in the effort so that you don't have to.
3) Yes, Giskard made the gate, its at hostile universe site - the bab 5 gate. Respawn

You will have to learn how to put it into the game, its not too hard though
4) Worm holes, don't see why not, but haven't bothered to look, as what colour would you prefer? there are about 5 already!

About the first question, well you can try to make many planetery systems as just one large system and to make jump gates that lead to certin points in the space and to make a ship that its cruise speed is big and that can travel the gates distence in no problem.
The real problem however is the fact that no body tried to make a universe like system and you need a lot of work to make it.
But it is possible.

And Voila! thats how ALL my ini files for freelancer look! they were fine untill....i dunno lol, one day they just appeared like that lol.

Lol, that looks like bini (encoded format).
easiest solution:
- get the FL SDK 1.3 from the lancersreactor downloads - it has all ini files in a decoded ini format.
- be happy

hehe, yeah, when I install Freelancer -I'm a habitual re-formatter- Before I even start the game I install the SDK on top of it. The nice thing is that I don't generally make a back up of the original encoded files, 'cause the sdk has them all right there. I'm sure it's not standard or recommended practice, but I sure find it helpful when I want to change single small aspect of the game.

lol, i just got SDK and put the folder in mod manager so it takes like 15 sec. to copy and paste whatever ini file i need into my new mod file. then if it was for cruise speed or something, i just activate that mod. I dont bother with changing the actual files. too risky. o course if i were to have problems deactivating a mod than it is still risky but i only have one self made mod over 100 MB and it aint even done yet so i could have probs with it...

Uh huh, but the odd thing is too! that i could read the files before! i could do anything with them! i made like a fast firing nomad weapon i made a super sunslayer, whichs refire rate was o.oo1 and it didnt require ammo!

hexus if you have a mod installed some files are already decoded. not too many mods edit constants.ini so that would remain encoded

The fact that you are messing with the workings of the game greatly disturbs me Hexus. Don't blow a gasket trying I'd rather not turn on BBC and find out they're cleaning up your brains in your computer room. Phoenix's brains on the other hand......

but seriously, what kind of mod are you planning on making? Let me know I'll help test it if you like
