marketing idea

i had a weird idea maybe this was covered already in another thread a while ago...

here goes...kinda going with the dynamic commidities thing in another thread is it at all possible to make the bases selling you goods change the value against your reputation?? example say you buy boron at manhatton for like 200 and your rep is really good say 90% could you make it where if your rep was say 5% or 10% the price be around 500? and vice versa for selling....you would fetch a greater sell value with higher rep levels and lower sell values with a lower rep level?

just a crazy idea...

I don't think this is possible. To the best of my knowledge, the only thing you can change with reputation is whether you can actually buy it or not - two values, no more. Although I'm not the most knowledgeable in this area, someone might have found a way

It would only be possible using the 3rd party application approach that Accushot is using to directly alter the .ini files....

thats pretty much what i figured and the thing accushot is working on is such an awesome idea....figured maybe this could be useful as well hopefully it might be possible to integrate it into the program

I like that idea, it would definitely make it worth your while getting friendly with the factions instead of just staying neutral and trading. It all depends on what can be accessed/edited in the save files, but I have a feeling I saw something like this in there.

Btw, I saw that mistake
