Tracking and Radar

I searched the forums and didn't find anything that really answered my question so I am asking here. Does anyone know how to remove/change the brackets that appear around ships in combat. I want to remove some of them so that only the ship you have targeted is boxed. If anyone knows then please help me. Thanks.

dunno , have a look in the interface folder

Haven't tested this, but try renaming/deleting some of the .3db files in INTERFACE/HUD. I think your best bet is to remove "hud_nonselectedreticle.3db" and see what happens.

Thanks accushot. I'll give it a try and see what happens. I guess Exploring is the life-blood of modding.

For a quick try (although you may crash - dunno), just rename the whole folder

Doesn't that folder contain ALL of the interface elements? Wouldn't that make the nav bar, the targeting area and weapons control, not to mention the power meters at the bottom go away? That'd be cool!
