A quick faction question

Hey all,

I have just made a faction (thanx to Chips's tutorial

) and I can't seem to find where it is where i can make them hate you from the get go. Or love you, doesn't really matter, i just want to know where it is I change that. TIA!

It's in your mission folder. If you're playing the story line you need to open up the mission folder M01A and find mo1a.ini. Find this trigger:
[Trigger
nickname = spx_pitts
system = Li01
Cnd_SpaceExit = no_params
Act_NagOff = dock_pitts
Act_NNIds = 30040, HISTORY
Act_ChangeState = SUCCEED

Make it look like this:

[Trigger
nickname = spx_pitts
system = Li01
Cnd_SpaceExit = no_params
Act_NagOff = dock_pitts
Act_SetRep = Player, fc_lr_grp, -0.650000
Act_NNIds = 30040, HISTORY
Act_ChangeState = SUCCEED

Except make sure that your new faction's nickname is in place of "fc_lr_grp"

If you're playing OpenSP then just open M13 and put that same line in where it looks like it should go.

I was thinking about it and if you're playing story line I'm not sure how that might affect mission 01b. So it might be better if you went into m01b.ini and found this trigger:
[Trigger
nickname = play_juni_ethercomm
Cnd_CommComplete = dx_m01_1555_king
Act_ActTrig = tm_pausebeforejuni
Act_NagOff = gohome
Act_AdjAcct = 3500

and add your setrep line below the Act_AdjAcct=3500 line.

Em whats OpenSP? ive seen it in my game folser but when i thry to run it it doesnt do anyting. What is it? and how do i make it work?
