New ship pack -> Help wanted.

Hello all! I am looking for a good (and i mean good) person or two to help me get some good models into FL. I can get the models to the point of getting them in FL but i can't do Infocards, and i am also having problems with hardpoints not lining up, using .cmp exporter. So if you would like to help, and have your name on a biiiiiiiig ship pack (with good ships, per a lot of the FL community) then please, either reply here, OR email me at [email protected]. there are a couple mods that want the ships, and i'd love to be able to deliver them.

i currently have 20+ brand new models done with the exception of putting the FL hardpoints on them, which doesn't take long. For samples, just ask, and i'll get you some screenshots. Serious people only, please!

So join in, i think this ship pack will do very well here on TLR!

I read around here, thanks. Also, my MAIN problem is my hardpoints don't line up, and all that gibberish about making them right doesn't fly with me, so i was hoping to get someone who knows how to line them up right.

That's all, so yeah, i can now make infocards.

How are you makeing the faces for the hard points?
usually what I have found best is to make a single face seperate from everything else then move that face to where you want the Hp to be, sticking strait out of it perpendicular to the direction the gun shoots

I made a Hardpoint template file for milkshape .. hmm .. ~ half a year ago.
it contains the most common ones.
just merge it with ut milkshape model, then drag (or dulicate & rename)the hardpoints where u want them.

here it is:

no guarantee that it wirls, i havent used it for ages casue there are soo much better modellers out there as me

Well, i use a triangle for my hardpoints, and the weird thing is, the mine, CM, and thruster all work PERFECTLY, but the revolutes DO NOT line up right. AND on top of that, the hardpoint base that i made (JUST for the revolutes, mind you) doesn't show up...The ones for the mine, CM and thruster DO though, and all i do there is duplicate them all, so same texture, same BOX for them. It's very odd. I'm doing something wrong, i'm sure, but i just don't think it's the hardpoint bases i'm making. I'm not sure though, so....i'll try your file, and i appreciate the advice guys. Illero, perhaps you could look at one i've stuck in FL that's having this problem, and maybe you can see what i'm doing wrong. If you wouldn't mind, then let me know and i'll email one to you. (will need your email, you can PM it to me on Pathfinders...)

Did you correctly named all your revolute hardpoints... if so, did you make your hardpoint near enough of your ship's surface... if you have overlapped it, the problem will be that your revolutes is inside your ship...

all hardpoints must be located on top of any surface of your ship. the exporter has a rule that it will follow the surface of your ship so the guns/missles/turrets/torpedos will be correctly aligned.

ve already planned to release another shippack called the cheapmonster pack cuz the ships are so amazingly big...... but thats not anything to discuss here so just email me and well see what we can fix up together...

I have found that for weapons I set the faces just inside the model... and they always line up exatley the way I want them.....

doesn't work for the Hpcockpit though
but for everything else it works just fine for me in Ms3d
