Recompressing???

Just wanted to ask as I'm sort of a noobie modder. Do i need to recompress the .ini's that I edit? And if so where can i get something that recompresses the files? Thanks guys.

No you don't need to recompress.

I tried deleteing the .txt part of the files but it didnt work. Does anyone know of a program that can recompress it for me?

One in downloads, but it makes no difference. The files are compressed when you zip them, and return when decompressed to the format you had them as. However, it doesn't affect gameplay at all by the looks of it, so there is no benefit.
