There are two mods that i can think of at the moment and thats the wts mod which has 8 new systems and over 100 new ships and the other was the freeworlds mod.

I'm sorry? Are you saying you want people to post mod announcements in your thread? There's already a seperate forum devoted solely to that purpose. (not to mention the websites front page).
Or do you want a list of large mods that you can download? In that case I'd say Evolutions v1.27 or FLRebalance v3.40

Edit = You do realize that most of the larger mods have their own forums located about 5 or 6 down from this one, don't you? If you're really looking to find out what people think about the various mods you'd probably be best off reading through those forums.

I'm not talking about mods in general, i meant very mods that are like 50 meg.
I myself never a forum that had lots of large ones.

Then your best bet would be to go to the downloads page. Every mod there has its size listed to the right. You could quickly compile a list for yourself just paging through there.

Rebalance is the only one over 50meg.
