Law enforcment licenese??

I was wondering if there was a way of making a law enforement or LSF license so that every time you kill a pirate ship when your not in a mission you get something like 500 creds. But you need to buy it first. Is there away to do that if so can someone point me in the right direction of what INI file I would need to mod?

well, i could think of a veryvery complicated workaround.

make a custom faction.
make a base from this faction - call it LSF HQ / BH HQ - whatever, they pay u for kills.
the "license" is a rephack for this faction - without this the base is hostile.
make a custom commodity that is dropped by pirates (loadouts).
give it volume = 0 and make it only valuable at the custom base.

lotsa effort but should work.
you collect the "kills" and get cash for those on the base.

involves a lot of modding. better start reading tuts

well I was think more along the lines of this, game keeps track of you ship kills and what kind, so is it possable to add a line of code after the counter that put +500 to players?

nope, not to my knowledge - thus the workaround.

Well in that case, maybe after finals. But i'm still going to look into other ways. If anyone else has an idea of how to do this let me know
thanks

i don't think a direct 'paid when killed' bounty is possible without .exe source (i assume u want a license aka X2 : The Threat). Another way is to add a pilot as cargo to ships (for example Outcast Rookie pilot, Outcast Veteran etc) with prices set at bases according to how much they hate/like outcasts. BH bases and Police say pay lots and home bases of pirates pay a 'freedom fee'... Chips uses a system like this in his Evolutions mod

well not so much as from x2 more like in Privateer two. But ya, so it looks like the item idea is the only way to go. Well I will look into it after my finals. Thanks for your input
