New mod info cards/names?

Ok. I am going by Dark dragons tutorial on how to make a system in FLexplorer. So... I get the base made, I go there, buy stuff, etc. But... I cant get the info card stuff to work. I do exactly what he says in the tut, but when I click "get_IDS_NAME/INFO" a box comes up and says "Oops! Error! LoadLibrary() failed". The same thing happens when I do either, INFO, or NAME. And I cant figure out why. Everything else went fine.

(Why does it seem like I have problems with things most people breezed though?)

The only thing I can think of is that FLED IDS is unable to locate a .dll where you have it browsing. I'm not certain how it works, but I assume it checks the FL.ini and finds the resource dll= lines and works in those .dll's. Check to make sure you've got a exe folder, freelancer.ini, resources dll="your dll" line, and the actual dll in the exe folder.

Nope. It shows up in the "search" And the other drop-down menu as "tutorial_system.dll". Any other ideas? This could be quite bad for my modding career.

Nope. Sorry man, I'm stumped. Only other thing I can think of is the usual; incorrect spelling, but I'm sure you've already checked that.

If you've created a new exe folder and freelancer.ini, I'd check that freelancer.ini is correct. Then I'd make sure my dll= line under resources exactly matched the name of my dll.

Yep. Just did that. I'll have to check it in the morning. I'll let you know what happenes. (the base and jumphole hade the same info #)

Download my tutorial on ids numbers and FLED-ids from TLR (here), its in downloads area, or you can find a link in the sticky by me at the top, on the second or third post (linkes for utilities). It will be FLED-ids linked, and then say the tutorial afterwards - which you click on - all there.

see if this helps coz its happened to me alot of times,
im presuming that your searching for an original IDS NAME (one that came with the game) well if i try to find an original IDS inside the Mod Folder it comes up with that error, all you have to do is go to the path where Freelancer is and not where your mod is that way it will shouldent jam, i havent tried this but im guessin it will work: if you pull accross some more of the original freelancer DLL's then it shouldent jam, i dont know caz ive neva tried lol
that help you?

if that dont work, whats the IDS name your searchin for?

Nope. I) am trying to make new ones for my system, base, junphole, etc. I do have the dll, and it is (from what I can tell) set up properly. I dont know what it is

(Chips, I tried your tutorial, and the same thing happened.)

Well, if you haven't been able to manually edit the files and make the IDS names with FLED - then fraid there is not alot we can do for you. We can show you how (which the tutorial does), but we cannot make you understand how....

I cannot explain it any better than i did in that tutorial, at which point, i cannot help you anymore.

Ok. Than I guess I'll have to leave the IDS stuff to one of my other mod team mates. Wait! I have no other members! :Sigh: Well... I guess I wasn't meant to mod.

Hey Karate. In order to make up for my little joke in your other thread I'll do the IDS entries for you. Just send me a list of names and info and I'll send you back a dll and a list of numbers to stick in your inis.
I won't be able to get to it til tonight, but as long as you don't need anything too detailed it shouldn't take very long.
