3ds max milkshap and .cmp exporter help!! please

I made some ships in 3ds max 4.2 and saved them as .3ds imported them in to milkshape and textured them and tryed to export it as a .cmp. It crashed. Everytime I export a 3ds model I made in 3ds (does not matter on the file type Ie. box.3do, box.asc box.m3sd) it crashes. I tryed it with both .cmp exporters. It's not the poly count I tested it with a box and the cmp export still crashes. Milkshape only crashes when its my made models. when I export other models that I ether downloaded or converted form other games it exports fine.
Does anyone know whats going on?

If you want to email me the files I will hvae a look at them and see if I can figure out why they wont export..

Did you save your models in .ms3d format prior to trying to export them?

Ya everything was exported into ms3d before i tryed to export them into .cmp
I think its just my copy of milkshape. but check you inbox I will e-mail them to you. let me know what you find

okay I figured it out at like 6:00 am it was a mass of uv textureing problem. For what ever resion milkshape didn't like my 3ds uv plots. So I re-textured it in milkshape and it works fine.

I hope to puplish this one It is the centurion form privateer. As soon as I can figure out how to use the FLMM to make an installer I will send it in.
