Mission Add-ons

Is there any Mission addons out there? I Have completed freelancer and now there is just a lot of empty "Space". Maybe a user submited mission might liven things up, or a new story line. Please Help,

You can pick up missions with different factions to run. Or try a mod for variety. I like to run missions for the blood dragons and the GC in open single player myself. Welcome to TLR.

thanks. I am very green and a still learning. Is there any new story add-ons to continue from the original one? and would this be called a add-on or MOD?

If you're talking about story missions, that's a whole different kettle of fish. No mod has yet altered the story missions (I say altered because it's apparently hardcoded that there are 13 exactly), but I'm on the mod team of Freelancer: Fallen Universe which is aiming to do just that. If you want to know more, check out the forum for it here

I assume you have some coders on the task, based on what you said. The region in content.dll that handles missions is contained in one area and it seems that it would be a fairly simple task for an average ASM coder to modify it to allow more or less missions.

The requirements for levelling up are also hard coded and are stored as short floating point numbers.

Each time you level up, the code either force-levels you or, if you're entering a freetime, assesses your net worth then adds a fixed sum based on which freetime it is.

Hope that helps you guys.
