Just a tip...

i just found out that, if you are using Milkshape 3D, you can go to the Tools->Extend Primitives, and choose a shape you'd like to put into your modell. While having it selected, scale it and move/rotate it so it fit your needs.

-lol, anyone who uses milkshape should know this and know how to use all the other plugins there are, also anyone who makes their ships shouldn't center it around primitives but only use them to give a slight start to the model and modify it to give it a unqiue shape.

this ship[\url is one box, no vertexs or faces manually made, no other primitives, just one 6 sided box, in which I extruded the heck out of it, took me about 2 hours to model.

People who rely too much on primitives tend to have a higher poly count and have a much longer task of cleaning the model up to get rid of interior faces (the good thing bout extruding is don't have to worry bout interior faces)
