Adding ids names - ResourceHacker

Again I apologize for the n00b post. =\ I hate doing this.

I downloaded ResourceHacker (see Lancer Planet; the tutorial on ids name creation) in order to add ids names to the nameresources.dll file. However, the instructions listed on Lancer Planet don't concur with the contents of what ResourceHacker is showing me.

Is there any other (or more widely-used) method of adding ids names? I don't want to replace current ships, weapons, etc. All I want to do is add new ones, and I think I can tackle the INI scripting itself. The problem is I can't create new ids names.

lol - Finalday beat me too it

Reshack is only really good for seeing what they entries are on a large scale, but awful for editing them.

FLED - IDS is MUCH better for fiddling with infocards with, and alot simpler. Check the thread - its written without all the usual bull about scripting, cause the simplest way is to get your number first (to add to - shows you how to in the tutorial) and then find something similar (like if its a ship, use a ships number) then enter that, call the info up, then put your number in and edit the information to say what you need, then save. Dead easy, really quick, no headaches. Now that sounded like a mumbo jumbo mumble of crap - but after you get used to FLEDS you will know exactly what i just said .
