Populating Bases?

I know there was a tutorial/script somewhere about ti, but I just can't find it (lloked in Downloads, FL Tutorials and here..)

AGH!

EDIT: I could use a tutorial about making missions available at bases allso

Firewing, for the first part, here is one Chips posted in a thread down this list you may want to scroll down to look at the original as it had parts highlited in bold. This one

There is a mistake somewhere in your entry. This is most likely in the area for the people. Hmm - difficult to describe - i'll show ya.

Here is Manhatten:

You cannot miss the bold bits, Those refer to the entries for the men further down.....(please note they have been edited for size).Also note the entry in there that is in bold too....

Hope that gets you up and running, if not, post the mbases.ini file up here, and also the xx_01_base.ini file (for your base) and check that you have the correct bar name in there. It coudl be that it still has an old bar reference in base.ini file, and that has no poeple in bar....


As for your second part see the Neewbe threads 1 and 2 at the top of the forum using the directery in the second one to search.

Firewing, check newbie threads. please check these threads for any questions in future as well. If you cannot be bothered to read through the threads then go to tutorials forum. IN a sticky up top (by me) - scroll down and you find links to both threads with what they contain.

Chips - I did check the sticky, but I didn't fins no such tutorial there...Maby I have missed it..

But this should be sufficient...I got the station working - it's populated (except for the shipdelaer and comodity dealer...still working on that), and there are still no missions available....

Okay -click on link below and then look once more. I have covered this in GREAT detail in newbie questions. The whole thread contains links to ALL newbie question topics and also the tools needed. I think you will find its to do with offers_missions = true line in mbases, or the lack of vignettes in the system - BUT please use the thread, its in the index, populating your new base or something
