tylium, I don't see why that was necessary. On the other hand, it is doubtful that MS will release FL2 at all.

I read some stuff scattered around here and got the idea that MS has gone completely dead on all things FL...does anyone know why?

It most likely that M$ gave up on Freelancer because there wasn't just enough sales between the release date and now. Remember that M$'s executive board only cares to stuff their Italian-made pants' pockets with $, they could give a s*** about the FL gaming communtity.

It looks like it's MS who's not prepared to do anything though - so if someone can nudge DA enough we might be able to get something going - we've had enough ideas already in this forum

People have learned to make cheats for a lot of games even if none are published. MS, if they decide to make FL2, would in all probapility, leave teh modding capablity as it is. It increases the intrest in the game. Games that can't be modded or have cheats die easyly. Those like FL and MW with mods only increase interest.
