Possible to make a ship with build in jump gate?

I am not a mod-builder myself, but i wonder whether it's possible to make a ship that can jump to every system by itself without using a jumpgate?
When this is possible you can balance the game a bit by making it very expensive for example.

I imagine a system like the jump drive in Starlancer, although you could not use this one manually.

Is this possible and can someone build this?

nice idea, but not really. You need to specify where its going - and have something to dock with. Its the bit about changing the systems at will, and 'self docking' that seem to defeat the idea totally, completely and utterly. You cannot target your own ship

Could you make a missle that you could launch then select the missle so you can jump?

I sugest you have a look at what makes a jumpgate a jumpgate, and i am talking about the lines in the ini files for systems_shortest_path.ini, shortest_legal_path.ini and also shortest_illegal_path.ini

Then have a look at the necesary things - inlcudeing the lines to the reference points (jumpgates) to arrive in each system. thenfigure out if you can do it, cause if it hasn't been done, then no-one has probabily tried it. Mind you, as per usual - what the hell would be left to play for if you can jump everywhere. I really don't understand the ideas for uber mods
