Help wanted please apply in reply

Not that I want to flood the board or anything but I thought this deserved a new topic post so with out further ado...

I am looking for a modding team I have little to no experience but am learning fast. the positions that I need filled are:

graphic artist
(solar)Systems expert
Factions expert
Story designer

I need those as I am either not proficent (yet) in those areas and/or am no good at. I need all the help I can get so if you have a specialty that was not listed post anyway. I will consider all offers. thank you.

If you really want to learn how to mod perhaps you should join someone elses already established mod team before trying to make one of your own. Just a suggestion.

well though that is true probably would be easier but I have ideas for a mod already and if i joined an already existing group then I would be expected to help with the already existing mod that they are making and then some or all of my ideas would be shelved until the mod was finished which may be fun and all but I want to work on my ideas and to make things intresting other's ideas always are great to.

anyway I forgot to say that you don't need to be an expert at anything at time of joining the group you only have to have an intrest in learn the given set of skills.
newbies will be concidered and probably accepted.

I figure I should ask if anyones intrested and perpose the Idea.

Heres what I got so far:

I want to add a mining faction that owns like three systems and sells things that make for good minging and of course live in an area were mining is easy like a nebula for instance and of course this would mean pirates and other such factions intrested in getting a hold of the holds of these miners.

I also want to make a R&D faction were you could get really good weapons and ships but at high prices as most would be prototypes or similar. they would control like between two to four systems of their own probably close to the various mining areas as they need raw material to experiment with.

One of things that I want to add in is more trade ables and maybe even more upgrades for your ships and stuff. As of yet I have figured out how to make upgradable power plants, and engines and am working on making upgradeable hull armor sections. I also thought of some cool toys heres a list of a few:

Flash shielding: basicly a weak shield recharges fast so shield goes down and
comes right back up after like a half sec pause.
Working cloaking devices
working phasing devices
Mining equipment
Projectile weapons like mass drivers and rail guns
Flak-cannons and web missiles: they fire out and seperate in mid-flight.
Auto-turrents and AMS (Anti-Missile-Systems)
Bombers
Bombs/Carpet-bombs/Cluster-bombs
Body Gaurds/Hirelings/Cohorts
adv. Repair stuff like better nanobots and shield batteries

however much of this stuff I need help with making much of it I have an idea on how to make it and make it work. So please I really need help and would like it if anyone one even total newbies were to help me out in this project.

Hey Clown, I believe that bakedpotato is right in a sense that your trying to start a group with lil or no members to start with and plus, What satisfaction are they going to get from helping you make this mod when they are having little say or you Gettin all the Credit. Your Better off joining a group and see how things go, hey your not likely to get your sugestions plugged in and maybe you will as it is already and excisting mod, but it would give u an idea of how to get people interested in making your mod, heck the only other way is to pay them. I'm sure if your mod was ever created, bakedpotato wouldn't mind having a go.

I'm not flamin you or anythin just that these sorts of posts come here way to often, and they all end up Quiting anyhow.

I know what'cha mean but I have no intention of taking any credit that is not due to me. I want to have input from those working with me and by no mean do I think that I am leader or anyThing like that I just want to get a group together and work on something that I think would be very cool.

I've attempted to make mods for all kinds of games that I owned in the past but I always come up to the same wall and that is that I can't do every thing. Maybe baked potato is right so Lets change the subject of this post a little.


ANY ONE LOOKING FOR A NEWBIE MODDER!?
I am learning and know how to make weapons, commodities, link files(that one's easy so... whatever I was thinking), I am learning to make infocards right now, would like to learn to make factions, systems, and other odds and ends. Mainly I am concerned with what goes on HPs.

I have Idea for a mod I think Would be called FactionX unless someone thinks up a better name for it. so if your a group looking for someone with my kinda skill then just send me an email or post here. if your independent looking for a group I am intrested in joining.
