Anyone with 3d modeling experience that can help with a prob

Howdy
I have two questions.

1. Does anyone know of a cmp exporter for Maya 4.5?

2. Does anyone know how to make a two sided face in Maya?

When I export to dxf and then import to milkshape it is very dodgy (holes etc). However when I import to Truespace or DE it is fine

As far as i know, the Milkshape exporter is the only CMP file converter around. As for your second question, you should be bale to import the OBJ into MS3d, or maybe get another expeorter plugin for Maya so you dont get the flipped polies from the DXF formatting. Or you can just select adn flip said polies in milkshape. Doubbling the faces will just doouble your polycount, which could possibly put you over the MS3d limit.

Thanks spawn, I thought no-one was going to reply. But what you said raises a new question, How do you flip faces in Milkshape?

Just highlight the face and go to FACE-->reverse vertex order.

Usually what happens is that when you mirror objects in other programs you reverse the order of the faces. Milkshape interpets the faces created clockwise as outward and anti-clockwise as facing inward. So when you import the file the mirrored objects are facing inward and appear black hence the hole.

What you want to do is go to the groups tab and select the group that's black click select then revese the vertex order. That will save a lot of time.
