erm - the sdk can be used as a 'backup/restore' idea. Its in the downloads or on the creators site (EOA Player Consortium) - it is all the ini files for the game in one bundle. Contact Louvea or someone for more details (check his sig for more info)

all the ini files in the game have been made into a download by the players consortium (the poeple who ahve taken over developing the Freelancer Explorer. Check for Louva Deus and follow his link to thier site. You can then download it. It is basically going to replace all the files you mighta cocked up with some new ones. Otherwise - reinstall the game - that is what i personally do.

Try a complete uninstall then a reinstall of Freelancer.
If you want the corrected version of the ini files here is a link.

While you can use the sdk to restore your game I personally would still say to do a full uninstal(plus delete the folder after) then reinstall the game.

Btw grab sdk v1.2 as its the latest version.

I used both Chips, and baked ideas. First I downloaded the ini's. (took awhile to load it all up) still wouldnt work, so I uninstalled, and then installed and it works fine. I have this wierd thing, where when I uninstall and install It just brings back the old files so i have to find the original ones... Maybe it has to do with it being a strange copy i got from a friend.. i can play it with out the disk in the drive..
