Ship editor???

is there a ship editor thats easy to use??? not for changing adding models or anything (although that would benice), but the stats on the where, where it can be sold, speed, shields and guns???

any spreaadsheets and macros???

These two programs can edit the shield and guns plus allot more including money.
They can't put the ship where you want but it can edit your location so you can go there and buy whatever ship you want to buy or you can just edit in the ship you want to blast people in. Just assuming You can edit the factions reputation so that you can buy any ship in the game. If you give yourself enough money so your level will jump up if you need to be at a higher level to buy a ship that requires a higher level.

For multiplayer games use the IONCROSS Freelancer Server Operator mk.II.1 program by JoeBoomz.

For singleplayer games use the IONCROSS Freelancer Character Editor mk.V program also by JoeBoomz.

Thanks goes out to Joe for all his hard work.

Pay me now please.

so dpespite not having north amrican region settings, i tried the server operator, but get a runtime error, what else do i need to run it???
o how do i make a mod from the serever operator??

If your getting a runtime error you need the vbrun file.
You can get the file you need at http://www.ioncross.com/

If you cant find the visual basic runtime files on the IONCROSS site you can get them at Microsofts downloads page. Just search for Visual Basic...

After you download the vbrun file put it in your Windows\System folder.

This program the Server Operator isn't for making mods it is for modifing multiplayer saved games and and for running a Freelancer server. The Character editor is for modifing singleplayer saved games. My fault I got confused...Again.

The closest thing I can suggest for an editor is Tinyfish Freelancer Ini Editor v1.4.4 beta
This is an editor for Freelancer ini files. It provides a graphical user interface with a grid view with organized data so browsing and editing become easy. I always use it to find items and fix bugs in downloaded mods, re-balance some parameters. It should be useful for both players and mod makers...

Hey,

Stumbled across this thread while trying to find a way to start the SP campaign with a diff. ship easily.

3 questions about the SP savegame editor:

1. How do you get the FLhash program to work? Mine just opens and crashes right away. I tried installing the VB files, no effect.

2. When adding a mod ship to the GAMEDATA files, I put in 2367704586 = li_special, Raven Claw (SPECIAL Trent's). I got the hash number from the error-reporting part of the program. The rest of it I just made up, and it worked. Does it really matter what you put in after the = ? Also, there are a couple of things that I couldn't figure out what they were in the error report...It says they could be a tractor beam/scanner, but I've checked my ship in FL several times and all the guns/cargo/thrusters/shields are in order. How can I find out what these things are?

3. I'm having trouble with the lights. I changed the colors and now they're all bunched up together under the right wing. How do I fix this?

You should ask your question about the FL Hash Generator Frontend Tool in The Lancers Reactor > Forums > Freelancer Editing: Freelancer Editing Utilities Forum FL Hash Generator Frontend Tool

Crabtree is much smarter than I and can help you with your questions....After all it's his program.

Hmm...

Let's say that I have a mod ship that's added into the GAMEDATA files for the SP editor.

Let's say that this mod (Firebase's ship pack thing) also includes other ships and some bases that I don't want to be using right now. I only want to use this one ship while also running a mod (Freelancer: The Next Gen) that conflicts with the first one. Do I need to have the Firebase mod activated in order to use this ship, or is there some way of getting around this?
