faction reputation

Hi everyone,

I'm a bit new to these forums and moding in general but I've got a bit of a problem and I wonder if you can help me.

I read a FAQ (don't know where from) that explained how to make all factions except the xenos to be at least nuteral towards you by editing empathy.ini and changing all their values to -1. I did what it said and then went to slaughter a few xenos. My rep is still the same with everyone. What am I doin wrong???

can't print it out cos I think I've bust my ini files by trying somthing else off this site. I just tried doing the pilotable train mod and the game crashed. Windows says that they are only text documents not configuration files like the compressed inis. I think my problem lies in the game not recognising my umcompresed ini files. Is this the same for you.

In deatail what I did was went to the block of text in empathy ini under fc_x_grp and changed all the entries to -1. My source of info then said go and kill one xeno and it should sort out all my faction troubles (I need things quiet so I can get the dromadary from Mactan)
