Loot Question

Hiya,

I have been trying to mod FL so that when you blow up a ship, there are greater loot dropped....for example, a Blood Hound that has a Molecular shield, when you destroy it, i want it to have a chance of dropping that shield and stuff like that.

I know you Edit the (rmlootinfo.ini) file to alter the loot stuff, but i have no idea how to make it drop more stuff. (it has to carry it for it to be dropped)

I am soooo bored of it just dropping Nanobots and Shield repairs.

I have read the tutorial about modding, but it doesn't tell you what you edit to make the drops more frequent.

If you can help, let me know.

well to make the npcs drop more lot u need to change the ship loadoutsm in the ships folder

Okay - go to the missions fodler, then find a file which is something like lootinfo - not rmlootinfo. Next - check out the newbie questions thread - i put what i know about it there, but seeing as i have just reformatted my HDD for the second time in 5 days, right now i don't have a copy of FL on here at all!
So - until i get this fully working again - I cannot do much for you!

Well,

i have got the normal commodities and the nanobots and shield repair thingys coming out like flies, but not the weapons, thrusters or shields.

I have played from the SP game and i finished the game in a Hawk Light Fighter. :/

I didn't come close to finding a Class 10 Shield.......also i ended the game with like 200,000 :/

Well, i have edited the shields thing so that all the weapons do the same damage rehardless of the type of weapon or type of shield......it all comes down to damage.

All that is left is the loot bit.....

well each loadout isdiff the special has like the cruisers and normal loudouts is for all the normally ships and utility is for like the miners thats to modify the cargo and i think it will drop weps too if u put them into the cargo hold. althougj i persoanlly havent rreally messedaround with weps and that but its worth a shot
