AvsP Dropship

Hety I need a little help with this one, I pulled the dropship out of Aliens vs preditors 2. I add hard points, gave it textures, made the phyisics behind it and the .mat file. But when I in-game the ship is invisable, or when I try to reopen the .cmp file it wont find the .mat files with the textures.
Any thoughts or tips on fixing this would be help full. If you know how to fix and want my .msd, .cmp, or .mat file I can send them to you.

well that will work for in game but why when i reimport the .cmp file to milkshake i can't open it with the mat files.

basily after i export the dropship.mds to dropship.cmp and make the dropship.mat, then to see if it works i import the .cmp model bak into milkshape but it doesn't want to read my .mat file with the textures the pic codes stay red. What am I doing wrong.

importing to milkshape is not the way to see if your ship works. The only way is to load it into the game. Import is supposed to be used for mesh extraction for modifying a mesh. If a model imports, it doesn't guarantee that it works in FL. If it doesn't import right, it may still work ok in the game.

okay tryed your way, still no luck ship is invisable changed th DOL disince to 0, 99999. But its still shows up invisable. I still think its something with my mat file, could I get anyone to take a look at my files?

Try creating a new mat file and make sure you have all file spellings correct.

If not send me the files and I will see what I can do.

is your
material
--Dc_Type = yourTexture.tga
--Type = DcDt

texture
--yourTexture.tga
-----MIP0 - for tga files; MIPS for dds file

or just check your spelling. Wrong Spelling means you've got an invisible ship or untextured ship.

also

Make sure that your material used from ms3d is the same in the mat file. otherwise. You will have an invisible ship...

okay thank you all for your help I figured it out i failed to call the texture files in milkshap Dropship_# instead they were the defalt Texture1 texture2 ....
So in summery stupid people make stupid mistakes =} look for the dropship with two texture the army green and CORPS silver, I will submit it before the week is out. thank you all

@Evil_bob: This is a 6 month old thread. ProjectZERO is still a 2nd Lt. That means he probably doesn't come here often.
