I do not know my Greeks so I am clueless about a play that would suit as a model.

As for a Hamlet ... There were more duels in the "real" action than in the play, how would you work that out? .... I mean, who didn't duel?

Still and all, I think you should be Polonius.

I'm just now delving into plotting this story out. I don't know Greek tragedies well enough to imitate them in the slightest. With maybe the exception of Oedipus Rex, but there's enough incestuous hinting in Hamlet that an actual incestual marriage wouldn't be right in my mind. Then there's that whole nasty eye gouging thing.

Anyway, back to Hamlet. Yes its true that there is no exact similarity with the MS hoax. But Much Uba About Nothing only resembled Shakespeare in form and function, not story. The Taming of the Psycho, didn't really follow form nor story, only function. Zlothello was the first I did that actually followed form, function and story. This one is going to follow form, function, and a hint of story. Enough to hit all the highlights at least.

Can you imagine Wolf Demon as the Ophelia character? I can.

BTW, I don't think I will make myself the Polonius character, as his character is the clown of the story. He thinks himself wise, but is really a fool. "Since brevity is the soul of whit, I will be brief ...." Then he goes on to explain for another page what he is trying to say. He's a contradictory character. "To thineself be true ..." Then he says how to essentially fit in. The nice thing is there were a lot of people with long long speeches on this forum.

I'm too straightforward to be Polonius and I was only peripherally a part of the unfolding of events. I garnered maybe a tenth of a percent of the attention during this debate. I don't consider myself a central character in this story whatsoever.

The long questions with long answers is simple to explain. It was because points had to be made over and over again as they weren't answered or were just ridiculed rather than tackled, or just insulted.

I still have had no appology for being branded a death threat call maker - which is leaving me a little annoyed - but I suppose it was asking for too much.

I suppose that it shows i am a little annoyed as well

Oh well, moving swiftly on again - so when is the latest one a coming? People are waiting with baited breath.

Must admit they make great reading as we are entirely too serious most of the time in this forum. We need to loosen it up a bit...............lol

No disrespect intended whatsoever in nominating you. The only line that stuck in my mind was "to thine own self be true" (okay, besides the "to be" thing) and I recalled that it was P's line. It seemed apt. That's all.

I didn't do very well in my lit classes. I guess it shows.

@Chips, don't hold your breath too long. I'm taking my time with it, I kinda overworked myself with Zlothello.

@Indylancer, I didn't take what you said as any disrespect. I know what you meant. Most people think Polonius is a wise character. That's why I took time to explain why he wasn't, because 90% of people can't get past the Olde English to really understand what is really being said. Don't fret, I know you weren't insulting me.
