well u can place almost any effect on a gun
so in theory it can be done

i saw som1 who but the beam effect from the shield generaters for the nomad city at the end of the game onto a gun

they even changed the color

seems plausible. as stated earlier in the thread, you CAN put just about any effect onto a gun.

No it can't be done, Glock tried using it with the FightSpace's wraith, and it don't shoot, it just crashes the game. It seems that DA harcoded this effect. This is as far as i know.

It's about the projectile effects. You can find it the FX folder, beam_effects.ini
I am sure add any effects which wasn't in the weapon effects folder will crash the game. (same with many other objects)

I haven't try to add new effects to projectiles yet. I am sure you can do ALOT with it. Size, color, shape whatever you want. I have made nomad blaster shoot green projectiles with huge balls.

I've gotten some really nice effects using other things before. I've tried the Dyson city beam and it looks fantastic. Only problem is that the tail is off angle and i can't figure out how to remove it. Otherwise, it looks like a small sun.
