Sorry this took so long....but I have been busy building an addition.

Here are the specs for my version of the armored transport. I put the shield on the back top deck to the right of the turret, I put the mine dropper to the left. The Torpedo launchers are about 3/4 of the way out on the back wings. The thruster is on the bottom....right by the back.

the two torpedos have different heights (Y) because disruptors and torpedos have slightly different bases....if they are mounted on a raised hardpoint you don't have to worry about that.....but I don't know how to modify skins.

houise addition, also where does the shield need to be mounted for it to work on the inside or on the outside cause i have to do my transports also

i just need this info and my mod will be ready to be sent off pluss i need to do alittle camera and turret cam editing and it will be complete hehe new system 5 new ships even wep and shield pricing tradelane fix, info cards i was busy with this one.

I'm not sure exactly what the rules are for shields....I suspect that they must be inside the area defined by the .sur file. All of the origional ships have the shields mounted somewhere on the surface of the skin, near the back.....so I always do the same.

well if no on knows ill make ti so the armored trans can have shields but as for the transports they cant have anythen and then ill post me mod

It's not too hard to place hardpoints.....just time consuming. Pick a known location (like a light or other hardpoint) and keep adjusting it's position until you like where it is located.The position co-ordinates work like this:
x.xxxxxx = X co-ordinate....+ moves point towards right
y.yyyyyy = Y co-ordinate....+ moves point upwards
z.zzzzzz = Z co-ordinate....+ moves point towards rear of ship

hint: seems to make it easier for me if I start with a Y co-ordinate that I know is too high.....this makes the hardpoint float above the ship and is easy to see.
