What does the Strength Stat in the explosion entry mean?

The title sums it up, really. Just wondering what the strength, found in the explosion portion of any weapon's explosion arch, does in-game. I figured maybe it knocked the target around or something? I dunno, but I'm curious and I can't find it's function.

I think that it determines the level of force it applies to your ship when it explodes although i might be wrong.

That's what I thought, but then I applied it to the game by making a missile with a Strength of 100000000 and it didn't change a thing.

Nah - that's Impulse. And technically it's Force*Time so divide Impulse by target's mass and get change in target's velocity.

The only thing I can guess about strength is that it changes the dropoff over distance from the center of the explosion.

If anyone finds out - I'd sure like to know...

if you the knocking part of your explosion try changing the mass of the munition to mass = 1000000

that will surely knock those ships
