Just open up your market_ships.ini, choose your location base and look for an entry which has its last five numbers as -1, 0, 0, 1, 1, 1 and then change that ships entry so that the numbers look like this ....., -1, 1, 1, 0, 1, 1
NOTE: there is a number before the -1 which represents what level you need to be to purchase..you can change that to a 1 if you liek as well
now look to the bottom for oe_package which should have the numbers you just entered behind it (looks a bi tlike this i think)
marketgood = oe_package 16, -1, 0, 0, 1, 1, 1
Change is so that it is
oe_package 16, -1, 1, 1, 0, 1, 1
Now go to that station and buy the anubis. Your own self styled mod!

when i do that all i get is the mod ships like x wing and y wing this is what it look likes [BaseGood
base = Br01_01_base
marketgood = gf6_package, 0, -1, 1, 1, 0, 1, 1 <--eagle
marketgood = oe_package, 0, -1, 1, 1, 0, 1, 1 <---anubis
marketgood = rsfedex_package, 0, -1, 1, 1, 0, 1, 1

Do the same for the others to make it so that it sells whatever you like (basically gf1 -> gf6 are civ ships, all houses have it like :
lf, lfr, le (liberty fighter, freighter, elite which are patroit, rhino, defender)
rf, rfr, re (banshee, humpy, valk) - rheinland
All pirates have
pf, pfr, pe (like bloodhound, mule, wolfhound)
Corsairs and Outcasts
cf, ce, ce2 (legionarre, centurion, titan)
bwf, bwe, bwe2 (dagger, stilleto, sabre)
each ship is followed by _package then the numbers - the ones above are correct for a level 0 person to buy at the base specified. There we go. If you crash when you go to buy a ship, you have the nickname wrong. I have gone from memory so they might not be correct......but i think they are!
Chips
p.s - that looked suspisously liek the TNG mod. You shouldn't be fiddling with those files unless you don't intend to play online ever with it. Also, ringworld has all the original ships in

bhf, bhe, bhe2 (pirahna, barracuda, hammerhead)

Post Mon Sep 01, 2003 2:24 am

I did have the tng but i shut it off

Post Mon Sep 01, 2003 2:28 am

also can i just do this

[BaseGood
base = Li04_03_base
marketgood = archangel_package, 0, -1, 1, 1, 0, 1, 1
marketgood = Enterprise_package, 0, -1, 1, 1, 0, 1, 1
marketgood = slipstream_package, 0, -1, 1, 1, 0, 1, 1

and change it to

marketgood = oe_package, 0, -1, 1, 1, 0, 1, 1 <---anubis
marketgood = Enterprise_package, 0, -1, 1, 1, 0, 1, 1
marketgood = slipstream_package, 0, -1, 1, 1, 0, 1, 1

well it somtimes dependes if ur computer is wierd

i had to activate somthing from flmm to be able to do anything

sticks and stones may break my bones but whips and chains excite me!

Post Mon Sep 01, 2003 12:54 pm

Yeah - you can do that as well....it will make the anubis buyable along with the other two. I just kinda gave you a quick rundown of ships nicknames so that you can put in any that you would like (not just the anubis)

Post Mon Sep 01, 2003 4:30 pm

Thanks, but i dont know why it shows up for the TNG, should io delete the mod and see if its cahnged and if i do it with those ships and change it too the anubis, will the game crash?

i got to my Market_ship folder and last time i had 2,thats when i didnt delete the 1.6 mod, but when i did delete it i got one folder and it looked like this

ÿÿ      A  ÿÿÿÿ      L
ÿÿÿÿ      W  ÿÿÿÿ      c  ÿÿÿÿ      o
ÿÿÿÿ      {  ÿÿÿÿ      ˆ  ÿÿÿÿ     “  &  ÿÿÿÿ      2  ÿÿÿÿ      >

Its been coded or something? Hmm - make sure when you deactivate mods (to be safe) you should do 'restore backups' as well. Most of the time they deactivate fine, but every now and then a few files seem to get 'left' behind. This then means that it causes severe probs. Also - bit obvious, make sure you deactivate mods before you delete. What has happened to you is that residual files have been left over by the looks of things. It should have a long list of ships for each base, most are 'deactivated' and some are not. They did that cos it was easier to just copy and paste the lot at each base then choose which one for where, rather than for any other reason.
You need your original market_ships file. thing is, i suggest you DELETE (not uninstall, don't forget to empty trash can!) FL then reinstall it again. This way you get nice clean files to start working with. I end up doing this process about once every other day to make sure when debugging stuff that there isn't anything 'lurking' about causing the probs!

Yeah i did re-install and its the same i dont know how to get it to the regular market ships

ÿÿÿÿ
ÿÿÿÿ        ÿÿÿÿ      *  ÿÿÿÿ      5  ÿÿÿÿ      A  ÿÿÿÿ      L
ÿÿÿÿ      W  ÿÿÿÿ      c  ÿÿÿÿ      o
ÿÿÿÿ      {  ÿÿÿÿ      ˆ  ÿÿÿÿ     BaseGood base marketgood Br01_01_base gf1_package gf2_package gf4_package gf5_package gf6_package bwf_package bwe_package bwe2_package bwfr_package cof_package coe_package coe2_package lf_package le_package lfr_package bf_package be_package bfr_package kf_package ke_package kfr_package rf_package re_package rfr_package pf_package

this is what is looks like

Jesus - that looks nasty
Well, i could email you the market ships.ini - or in the home page of this site there is a 'tool' containing original FL files for you too use. Now you could download that, and then put the required one into your files! It says they are decompressed, but using biniQDU will solve that prob for ya.......thats the best advice i can give! Not sure why it does that, but i suggest you email Reynen as well - starfyre studios site is:
here
