Intro Music changing?

Okay - i have searched and searched but can't find out what file controls the music whilst loading up...........anyone have any clues which it is as i am now really pissed off with staring at text! I know what music it is - but where is the location that tells it which ones to play whilst on the main menu screen!!! Which file where??
Thanx if you can help

Wolf Demon - you can change it - see TNG 1.59 and possibly others as well.
Subxero - i looked and looked - but can't find a reference to the tracks it plays all the time (omega/omicron space)

I stuck in my own music for many of the systems and it also affects the menu music.
fired up planet: music_omicron_space.wav
station and convoy: music_omega_space.wav
asteriod field: (need to check again)
I'm pretty sure those are the only 3 scenes that load for the menu.

Imagine:
But do you know where that is actually specified? The reason is that i don't want to have my choice of music replace them (ie - make my choice named to those names - effectively just overwriting them) - i want it to point at a different name (so i can keep those music files for when i am in those systems - but have different startup music)!
So somewhere there must be something that tells it what tracks to play with each of those vids - its just where? lol - i am difficult to please!!

somtimes things r made together like 1 of the cool tracks that every time u hear it u hear talking and there is no way to hear it alone.

thats how i think the intro was made

As to that, chips, I have a suspicion that FL actually loads you into a system. It is clearly not an animation, more of a cinematic. The name/location of the music file that it plays, then, would be as hard coded as the in-game cinematics' sound file locations.

Imagine - thanks, not good news for me then...lol
The asteroid one was kusari space, or music_ku_space.wav
Oh well - can't include it in mods i make - it adds about 1.5meg to the file size - not good for just aesthetics

chips: have you found out what makes the original music files so small? Tiny bitrate? I just don't get it.

They are in RIFF-Wav format, at approx 80kbs and 22kHz sample rate, the music is only a short sample, but then re-looped to give it the length..... thats all i know really....lol

Right, guys:

If you want to change the Main Menu Music, do this:

Go to Universe\Systems\Intro\Rooms

There you will see 3 INIs

Deccompile them with BINI

Look at them. You will see one thing referring to the .THN file and another referring to the music.

In the Data\music folder, there is another INI called music.ini

In that you'l' see the names of the music to choose from.

Replace the name of one of the music with another from the music.ini

It should then play that music in the main menu screen. Its useful to change all the music in ALL 3 of the INIs in Intro\rooms to make sure that the music is changed

The ones who have havn't...
The ones who don't do...
