Moding Tohoku and Alaska bases

Greetings All.

First and foremost let me state that I KNOW NOTHING about moding or even the modern programming.

This is a first time effort on my behalf so I may have a few odd to down right stupid questions.
Do not think posting answers as if writing to a simpleton will offend me. I have a hard outer crust :-)
Yet, would need to learn the basics to make this idea work if at all possible.

This is what I want to do.
Set up Mitchell Prison Station in Alaska system to sell and buy ALL items, All Ships, Guns / Weapons / Ammo and Equipment, as well as all assorted items / Cargo. Sort of a one-stop shopping mall if you will. This would include the various “Experimental Weapons” or name guns in the game also.

Then I would like to set up Ryuku Base in Tohoku System with Just Combat Ships, Equipment, Basic Guns and Ammo, ( No experimental or name weapons here), and any Contraband Cargo.

Both bases would purchase any and all items as well.

Now the questions :-)
If I have this set up on my computer and run it as a server, would these modifications ( Do not worry about access to the systems as I have that one already covered), have to be loaded onto any players computer who would land on these two locations to have access to the items / Goods in question?
Or would it simply retrieve the needed info / Data from the server, i.e. my computer?

And of course How do I make the first part of my intent possible with the bases?

I do not get on line very much so please send any ideas and or moded INI files to my e-mail at:
[email protected]
Subject : RRJDS

Thanks for any and all assist.

Go to this website and download Freelancer Explorer. It's an easy to learn system, base etc... editor program.

well no see with freelancer alot of the stuff is client side meaning that u can chnage stuff on ur side and it wont affect the server or client side where the the server has to match you and can only work if the server is configged. For the most part anything you do will work or it wont work for you and the server will be fine, but if you add new stuff in like a ship then you have a prob cause its new. you can really only edit stuff there, the more you mod the more u will understand this, but as for opening thosejumpholes i dunno it might mean that ppl need to have the same mod as you hell try it and see what happens best way to mod trial and error
