FYI ... of GLASSES of CANOPY...

I have found out that when i used the configuration of another mat file, ie. bw_ships.mat i copied the glass data.

material library
I-bw_glass
I-Dc (floating array)
I-Oc (floating array)
I-Type (String)

of course the Dc, Oc, and Type data was the only ones i copied.
and walla i have now a transparent glass canopy which is my HpPilot is now visible. I never really tested my ship long enough, but it works as far as i'm concerned.

Note: please delete the glass entry in your texture library, and back-up your mat file just in case something goes wrong.

Here's The Documentation...

Cool Please clarify though; did you have to define the 'glass' in your texture graphic before you declared it in the .mat file?

And God said,
E=mC²
And there was light.

actually it will be your own glass id for your canopy if your ship have one just replace bw-glass with your material id.

This is just great.

Ihave been having a lot of problems trying to get the texture right to used as a transparent canopy with no luck what so ever.

This has helped a lot.

I also did some testing with this and the first 3 sets of numbers in the Dc node are just to set the colour of the glass.

Set them all to 0.000000 and you get a black colour where as set them all to 0.900000 and you get white.

actually setting them into 1 will give you a white color, a little less to one 1 will give you the grey variations.

Anyway its all mix and match here, LOL

Working hard to earn... but too lazy to do something...
