what does auto turret do?

that is wierd though. The guns always should point to the target reticle. Maybe this makes it so it can go ALL of the way around.

im not sure because true or flase i dont really notice any difference mabye its just sumthing internal that u dont see i dunno

It determines whether the AI can use it like a turret or whether its stuck in that position.

Just add "AI_range=999" to a weapon, press the key (1-0) assigned to this weapon, and you have a "real" auto-turret.
Sadly, you can´t press more than one button at the same time.

But as a nice *idontseeyoubuticanfireatyou* rear turret...

can you just bind it to a key or will it still only reg. as one key entered (i dont know much about this game but i have modded oter games)

All of use where noobs so don't hate, educate...

i found out what this does, basically it guides you shoots as soon a the mouse gets close to the target, doesnt really make much of a diff, just useful or annoying sometimes

bah! fools! idiots!

any gun with auto turret enabled will adjust your aim slightly towards the target!


you think it's your good aim that kills in fighting? half the time it's the auto turret system at work!

eg).......<^>O - your target reticule
............/
.......enemy ship

you fire, it hits automatically because auto turret adjust the guns aim so that they shoot the target rather than just next to it!
