so far no one has figured out what sort of difference it makes whether it is true or false. of course, that doesn't mean yo cant explore it a bit further

Auto turret is the field which allows the item to be placed on a turret hardpoint (hp_turret....) as opposed to a gun hardpoint (hp_gun .... ). Nothing to do with auto firing.

no it isnt, the line hp_turret level 1 whatever that line is is what tells the computer its a turret

actually i figured it out.

In the 'userkeymap.ini' file in the save games directory, the key for auto turret is 72. Which I belive is 'H'

Auto turret is where you go into turret view. nothing special.

I could be wrong though. I will do some more tests.

u may be right iwth that one mavbye it has to do witht he guns turning in turret view
