Milkshape CMP problem

Ok here's the problem

I have made a Liberty Heavy Destroyer model in gmax and the I exported it, and then imported it to Milkshape then I add all of the hardpoints and other things going by the tutorial that was given to me

I also have the CMP plugin but when I finished my model I saved it is ms3d format and then tried to export it to CMP file format but when I choose a name for the file and press save/export it comes up with an illigal operation error and then crashes back to the desktop

Plz could someone help me with this

Usually this is because your first group in Milksahpe doesnt have a terial associated with it. Or if any of the HP groups do have a material associated with them.

However i remember Spaz was saying he had done the above and it was still crashing, search about for posts by him regarding the exporter if you still get crashes.

Thank you soooo much this worked perfectly

I got to add a material to the main mesh of the ship
God what a dumb A$$
