Freespace 2 TC: Why hasn''t it been made?

I know i'm new, but why hasn't there been a Freespace 2 TC made yet? FS is amazing! Beams, bombs, massive capital ship, easier kill, easier death, no overall best fighter, steath... I could go on. So why isn't it here?!?!?!?!

...because it's far easier to just play Freespace II, I imagine.
