2 newbie questions

now please don't yell at me because i looked these up 3 times each and used different wording. if you know a post or site that can help me please say what it is. if i didn't see a post for my questions i'm just stupid but i did look.

anyway, i wanted to change the cargo bay size on my titan. i can't figure out how to do it and what to use to make the change so that it will work as well as the default setting (the cargo size that came from the freelancer disc). also, can you have 2 shields equipped on one ship and both of the shield values combine (8000 + 8000 =16000 -like that-) after you change the hardpoints on the ship. any feedback would be really helpful.

1. To change cargo space, you must open and edit the shiparch.ini file in the ships dir. To find the ship you are looking for, click here The titan is coe2_package for example.

2. I don't think they 'combine', just they distribute the damage more easily. The regen rate will also be increased.

I think the 2nd shield should work. I assume you saw the Hardpoint tutorial thread.

just edit the .cmp file and add HpShield02

I think cargo size = hold_size
I hope you're not changing the HpBayDoor01, HpBayDoor02 hardpoints.

in the shiparch.ini file you can change:

hold_size = 140; change the size here

I hacked the Startracker below with 4 guns, 2 turrets, 2 torpedoes, 2 CM, 2 mines.
